Meanwhile, a bomb is detonated at the center of the U. Now the movie gets a little long which is only an issue if you're a smoker like me, by the middle of the third act I was craving pretty hard, and there's some dumb lines of dialogue during one of the action sequences that didn't seem to fit the characters, but whatever. There are some good moments in the film, but it never quite works the way it should. White House Down is a fun and intense action movie that I would gladly see again. After escaping the intense gunfire and getting to a safe location, John insures that President Sawyer is all right. There's some nice low-end activity as well, providing rumbling or booming where appropriate.
The bad news is that doesn't make it any better of a film. When Cale and Sawyer reveal they are still alive, they learn Hammond has ordered an aerial incursion to take back the White House. Killick finds Cale and tries to kill him, but is ambushed by Donnie the tour guide, bludgeoning Killick to death with a bronze clock. Never did I expect to actually enjoy myself - and yet I did. Cale reveals Raphelson had orchestrated the attack because of Raphelson's disagreement with Sawyer's treaty and proves it by having Finnerty call the call-back number on the pager. As one might expect for an action movie of this magnitude, the English 5. The reverse side of the slick seen from the inside of the case features a still from the movie of Channing Tatum crashing through one of the White House windows.
It's a convoluted mess that's caught in no man's land. In fact, I enjoyed myself so much that I couldn't stop watching for the entire 2 hours, and I didn't even get up to go to the bathroom. The action sequences are disjointed and downright goofy at times. The bad guys are cartoonish and you get no sense of satisfaction when they are put down. After lying to Emily about the outcome of the interview, she and Cale join a tour of the White House.
Finnerty calls them to reveal that the mercenaries were not called in by Walker and that there is another mastermind behind the attack. Also inside is a second insert advertising the Sony Entertainment Network. Now if you're given a role like this, there are two ways to play the character ā either as a total politician or as a fellow action star to Tatum's character. Cale, who fails to find Emily, kills a mercenary and takes his gun and radio. Emily, while hiding, records a video of the mercenaries and uploads it to YouTube before eventually being captured.
As a result of the events, the leaders of Russia, China, Israel, France and Iran agree to Sawyer's peace treaty, allowing him to bring the peace he wanted. So while the film looks a little darker than I remember, viewers are going to be quite pleased with the transfer they get here. The interviewer Finnerty was not very impressed with John's educational background or his prior working experience, so he is denied the job. Does often joyless, dark and dumb appeal to even the popcorn crowds? The good news here is that followers of Roland Emmerich's career should know exactly what type of movie they'll be getting with 'White House Down'. Sekarang, dengan pemerintah negara jatuh ke dalam kekacauan dan waktu hampir habis, itu terserah Cale untuk menyelamatkan presiden, putrinya, dan negara.
Overall, this film is loud, long and boring, so much so, I can't imagine any adult with a functioning brain to enjoy this. If you want a great action film featuring the destruction of the White House, tune into Olympus Has Fallen. While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a Capitol policeman springs into action to save his child and homepage protect the president. I suspect that Foxx didn't want to make his President whose only resemblance to the current occupier of the White House, other than skin tone, is the fact that he's trying to stop smoking too much of a superhero, but if you're going to hire Foxx for this role, why not let him be as charming and kick-ass as we've seen him be in other movies? Sawyer officially employs Cale into the Secret Service and takes him and Emily on a personalized aerial tour of Washington, D. Right from the start I realized that this movie doesn't take itself too seriously and that this is Emmerich having fun destroying the White House - if you count freezing it - for the fourth time.
Still, if you're only going to watch one 'terrorists take over the White House' movie this year, 'White House Down' is not the movie to see. Cale gets into a fight with Stenz and ends up dropping his White House passes for himself and Emily while escaping. Directionality is well-done and noticeable, as helicopters and other vehicles can be heard swooping from a back speaker to the front, or vice versa. A slipcover matching the artwork of the slick fits overtop the case. Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx are the leads here, with Tatum playing John Cale, a wannabe he doesn't get past the interview stage Secret Service agent to Foxx's President James Sawyer. I highly recommend to stay away from this stinker.
The plot is preposterous, the action sequences sub par and the acting is atrocious. Channing Tatum does his best Bruce Willis impression while Jamie Foxx turns in the worst performance of his career. James Woods as baddie Walker is also an issue. Cale finds himself inside the White House where ā after screwing up his interview ā he accompanies his daughter, Emily Joey King , on the White House tour. The movie can't seem to decide if it wants to be a tongue-in-cheek comedy or a serious action film, and winds up not doing either very well. Looking at the back of the box cover, one might think that 'White House Down' is loaded with bonus goodies. After reading so many bad reviews, I started watching Emmerich's newest noise-opera only because I wanted to get tired enough to go to bed.
